Independent communications and public relations agency W Communications has appointed Robin Chang as general manager of its Asia Pacific (APAC) operations. Chang joined W Communications in January and will report to Warren Johnson, founder and chief executive officer of the global agency. He will also collaborate closely with W's chairman Tim Sutton.

In his role, Chang will lead W's business and growth in the APAC region and oversee the further expansion of the agency's presence across integrated services and new APAC geographies.

Chang brings 17 years of experience in public relations and integrated communications to his role, with a record spanning both the consumer and lifestyle and corporate sectors. Throughout his career, he held influential regional leadership roles, while based in Singapore. Chang also operated effective campaigns across Asia. In tandem, Chang delivered highly regarded Asia wide consumer integrated, crisis and reputation management programmes via content, earned, paid, social and digital influencer campaigns.

“Chang is an exceptional talent. We are thrilled to have secured his leadership. This marks an exciting new chapter for our business in Asia," said Johnson.

"Chang brings a unique blend of results-oriented collaboration with unparalleled expertise in the seamless integration of communications services. His experience in driving cross market Asia campaigns will be an invaluable asset in meeting our clients’ growing cross border needs. This is the next stage in our already very impressive Asia success story," added Johnson.
