Fashion magazine VOGUE is launching the "VOGUE loves Hong Kong celebration" (VLHK) event as part of the inaugural Hong Kong Fashion Fest (香港時裝薈), combining international fashion flair with local cultural elements.
Celebrating the city’s unique role as an East-Meets-West centre for international cultural exchange, the Hong Kong Fashion Fest aims to attract over 150,000 fashion enthusiasts, industry leaders, members of the public and travellers from more than 15 countries and regions.
Organised by the Hong Kong Fashion Council and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, with support from WestK, VLHK will be launched at the Harbourside East Lawn of WestK Art Park in the West Kowloon Cultural District tomorrow (28 November).
It is a key feature of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest, which runs from 20 November to 4 December, aiming to turn Hong Kong into a vibrant showcase of global fashion, cultural exchange, and creativity. Attendance at the event is by invitation only, according to the release.
To celebrate Hong Kong’s vibrant status as a creative powerhouse, VLHK has invited a diverse lineup of international celebrities and global fashion icons, such as CL, a member of 2NE1; Wi Ha-jun from Netflix's Squid Game; Lucien Laviscount from Emily in Paris; Japanese model Kōki (pictured right); British model Jourdan Dunn; and Olympic skiing champion Eileen Gu. The event will feature musical performance, DJ sets, and immersive activations, according to the release.
Highlighting the city's rich heritage while celebrating its dynamic culture through culinary innovations and crafts, VLHK invites guests to savour local cuisines and experience a variety of "Tastes of Hong Kong," from brands such as Devil’s Tea, Silk. Tea, Mak’s Brewery, The Butchers Truck, Kinsman, Hashtag B, The Cakery, and health drink Dash Water.
Additionally, guests can visit the “Glam Bar” presented by NARS, where makeup experts will prepare them to be “camera ready.” A VOGUE Hong Kong Newsstand will also debut, featuring the fifth anniversary cover series and iconic covers from the magazine’s "Five fabulous years". Furthermore, there will be interactive games allowing guests to take home special gifts from global brands.
