Val Morgan Digital has promoted Sohan Judge to director of content, expanding her remit to lead editorial, social, video and branded content across the network.
Judge joined the business in June 2023 as director of social and platforms, overseeing social and platform strategy across all Val Morgan Digital titles. Before that, she spent six years at BuzzFeed Australia, where she became senior publishing strategist and helped shape the outlet’s editorial direction. She previously held digital content roles at SCA.
Judge has also built a strong profile with youth audiences through Office Hours, the career podcast she co-hosts with Hameda Nafiz. The show reached number three on Australia’s Top Business charts within its first two weeks.
“Since day one, Sohan has taken our socials and platforms from strength to strength, implementing franchises that have driven significant growth across our network,” Amanda Bardas, head of Val Morgan Digital, said.
“Her clear vision and creativity in delivering meaningful cross-channel content have helped shape the way our brands show up in the world and connect with youth audiences, and we’re excited for her role to now expand to oversee the direction of all content across our brands. She’s not just tapped into culture, she shapes and drives it every day.”
Judge said she believes creative excellence and commercial success aren't opposites – they’re partners.
"My job is to bring the two closer than they’ve ever been. I care deeply about building a team culture where creatives can do the best work of their careers – we study the signals, interpret what matters, and we use data to inform decisions that drive business success. Nothing we make is a fluke. It’s a formula – and our team executes it with intention every single day.”
With the continued growth of Office Hours and her expanded remit at Val Morgan Digital, Judge’s influence across youth culture, content strategy and commercial storytelling continues to accelerate.
