Telkomsel asks Indonesians to 'find meaning' in Independence Day campaign
share on
Telkomsel is marking Indonesia's 81st Independence Day with a campaign encouraging people to look beyond the annual celebrations and find meaning in the everyday experiences that make independence tangible.
Titled "Sepenuh hati memaknai" ("Finding meaning, wholeheartedly"), the campaign launched on 13 August and will run across digital and social media through the end of August.
The campaign positions independence as something experienced in ordinary moments, from caring for others and supporting one another to having the opportunity to connect, grow and contribute. Through these moments, Telkomsel aims to encourage Indonesians to rediscover what independence means in their own lives.

"Independence is not only something we celebrate, but something we experience in the way we care for one another, support each other, and grow together. This Independence Day, through 'Sepenuh hati memaknai', Telkomsel invites the people of Indonesia to look closer at these everyday moments and appreciate the many meanings of independence around us," said Abdullah Fahmi, VP of corporate communications and social responsibility at Telkomsel.
The campaign also connects the idea of everyday independence to Telkomsel's broader role as a connectivity provider.
"The spirit of 'Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur' can only be realised when everyone has the opportunity to connect, grow, and contribute," said Emir G. Surya, VP of brand and marketing communications at Telkomsel. "Telkomsel is committed to advancing connectivity and innovation that open up more opportunities, enabling every step to create meaningful impact and help Indonesia move further forward."
The creative campaign was developed by FCN Creative - Flock, with production handled by Hidra Productions and directed by Adhi Reksa.
Last year, Telkomsel marked Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day with its "Nyalakan semangat Indonesia” campaign, which highlighted the telco's role in connecting communities and creating opportunities across the country. The campaign - also developed by Flock - featured a story about a fisherman's daughter who fulfils her dream of becoming a water police officer.
Meanwhile, for Ramadan 2026, Telkomsel launched its "Jalani Ramadan sepenuh hati" campaign under Telkomsel Siaga 2026, encouraging Indonesians to focus on sincere actions and meaningful connections during the holy month.
