Pizza Hut relaunches in Australia with How Bad Do You Want Good campaign

Pizza Hut has launched a new brand platform in Australia, using Wednesday night’s State of Origin decider to tell consumers it is back in market.
Created by jnr., How Bad Do You Want Good? marks Pizza Hut’s return to TV after several years off air and forms part of a wider relaunch for the QSR brand.
The campaign leans into dark humour, showing people choosing Pizza Hut over basic acts of decency, from helping a friend who has caught fire to returning dropped pills or assisting a child with broken arms.
The first spot debuted during halftime of State of Origin Game Three, giving the brand a mass-reach relaunch moment around one of the biggest live sport broadcasts of the year.
Pizza Hut Australia chief marketing officer Nora-Kate O’Connell said the new platform marked a shift for the brand.

“The new platform reflects a bold new chapter for Pizza Hut. We had a blast working closely with the jnr. team creating intentionally exaggerated and playful creative that dramatises just how irresistible great Pizza Hut can be,” O’Connell said.
The relaunch follows jnr.’s appointment to the Pizza Hut business via competitive pitch in mid-2025, with the agency working alongside Initiative, WiredCo, Burson and Pizza Hut Australia.
The brand is also rebuilding under Flynn Group, which acquired Pizza Hut Australia’s master franchise in 2023, adding more than 260 local restaurants to its portfolio.
John Marshall, managing director at jnr., said there were bold ambitions for the Pizza Hut brand in Australia.
“We feel pretty blessed to have a client that pushes us creatively because they understand great creative = effectiveness. It adds a welcome layer of pressure, but we all have bold ambitions for such an iconic brand and we know you have to be brave to be disruptive.
"A massive shout out must go to NK, Richard, the entire Pizza Hut team and our amazing Agency Village for the trust, partnership and boldness we have all had. If you had forgot Pizza Hut was here, well I am sure now you know.”
The new Pizza Hut work pushes well beyond standard food advertising, with intentionally exaggerated scenes designed to dramatise the idea that people will ignore almost anything for a slice.
The campaign is running nationally across TV, outdoor, digital, social and creators, with integrated partnerships including Bloke in a Bar and other NRL podcasts.
