Visual search and discovery platform Pinterest has appointed Damian Kim as vice president, APAC enterprise sales, as it looks to accelerate growth across the region.

Kim will join Pinterest at the end of February 2026 and report to Cecile van Steenberge, vice president, international enterprise sales.

In his new role, Kim will lead Pinterest’s APAC enterprise organisation, with a focus on strengthening regional leadership and expanding strategic advertiser and partner relationships.

This includes working with brands such as Kao and Panasonic in Japan, as well as Kia and Flight Centre in Australia, while unlocking new opportunities for businesses across the region.

Kim brings two decades of experience across digital, media and technology sales. Most recently, he served as managing director, head of product – APAC at Meta, where he focused on developing products tailored to regional markets. He has also held leadership roles at Meta across Singapore and Southeast Asia, and previously led the Surface business and key OEM partnerships for Microsoft in Asia Pacific.

The appointment comes as Pinterest continues to invest in its international expansion. The company recorded 16% growth in monthly active users and 66% revenue growth across the “rest of world” segment. More than 80% of Pinterest users are now located outside North America, positioning APAC as a key market for partnerships with advertisers and commerce leaders, said Pinterest in a statement.

“APAC is a critical region for Pinterest’s continued international growth, with diverse user communities and a sophisticated advertiser ecosystem,” said van Steenberge.

“Pinterest’s strengths in visual discovery and shopping align closely with how consumers across APAC plan, explore, and buy. Kim brings deep leadership experience and a strong track record of building high-performing teams, and I’m excited to partner with him as we continue expanding our impact for users, businesses, and brands across the region,” added van Steenberge.

Commenting on his appointment, Kim said “APAC is one of the most exciting and diverse regions in the world—where culture, creativity, and commerce move incredibly fast.”

“I’m thrilled to join Pinterest at a pivotal moment in its international growth journey. Pinterest is building a uniquely positive platform that brings inspiration and action together, and I’m excited to work with teams across APAC to leverage Pinterest to deliver advertising strategies,” he added.

Last month, Pinterest appointed Claudine Cheever as its new chief marketing officer, alongside the creation of a first-ever chief business officer role filled by Lee Brown, as the platform looks to scale its global advertising business and accelerate growth in an increasingly performance-driven, AI-powered landscape.

Cheever joins Pinterest from Amazon, where she led marketing for the world’s largest online retailer.

Meanwhile, Brown joins from DoorDash, where he served as chief revenue officer, and previously led Spotify’s global advertising business.
