Morinaga champions pressure-free childhoods in National Children's Day campaign

Morinaga has launched a National Children's Day campaign encouraging parents to prioritise children's emotional wellbeing and personal growth over the pursuit of perfection, aligning its messaging with Indonesia's official theme for the annual commemoration.

The campaign, titled "Sayang anak, lindungi dan bangun masa depan" ("Cherish children, protect and build the future"), echoes the government's National Children's Day 2026 theme while reinforcing Morinaga's long-standing positioning around child development through its "Beyond Nutrition" platform.

At the heart of the campaign is the idea that children thrive when they are given the freedom to explore, make mistakes and develop without the burden of meeting unrealistic expectations. Rather than encouraging a single definition of success, Morinaga argues that Indonesia's future depends on nurturing children who are adaptable, creative, collaborative and confident enough to discover their own strengths.

"Sayang anak, lindungi dan bangun masa depan is the government's theme for this year's National Children's Day, and we wanted our campaign to speak directly to it. For us, protecting a child's future starts with something simple: giving them a comfortable space to grow, free from the pressure to be perfect. That's the belief we're building this campaign around," said Gregorius Daru, business group manager at Morinaga.

The campaign also ties into Morinaga's broader ambition of supporting Indonesia's Generasi Emas 2045 (Golden Generation 2045) agenda. The company said its role extends beyond providing nutrition, positioning its products and brand purpose as helping parents prepare children for an increasingly complex future where diverse capabilities will be essential.

That message builds on Morinaga's "Beyond Nutrition" commitment, which seeks to support children's holistic development alongside their nutritional needs. The brand continues to reinforce its long-running proposition that "your choice today opens more possibilities tomorrow", encouraging parents to create environments where children feel secure enough to learn through experience.

The latest initiative also extends the narrative introduced through Morinaga's "Door of Future" (DGP) platform, which symbolises the opportunities that become available when children are nurtured according to their individual potential rather than a single benchmark of success. Across previous brand communications, the "Door of Future" concept has emphasised that every child possesses unique talents, and that parents play a crucial role in opening pathways for those strengths to flourish.

By connecting its National Children's Day campaign with the government's child development agenda and its own long-term brand platform, Morinaga continues to position itself not only as a nutrition brand, but also as an advocate for creating supportive environments that enable children to become the next generation of leaders capable of shaping Indonesia's future.
