Moomoo Malaysia has named eight-time squash world champion Nicol David as its official brand ambassador, announcing the partnership at the launch of its annual investor event, MooFest 2026.
The event ran from 9 to 11 October at Pavilion Bukit Jalil under the theme “The age of smarter investing”.
As ambassador, David will front Moomoo Malaysia’s campaigns and appear across its platforms and events. The brand says she will bring the discipline and long-term thinking from her squash career to the way it talks about investing.

The appointment builds on an existing tie-up with the Nicol David Organisation (NDO), the non-profit she co-founded with Mariana De Reyes to empower women, girls and boys through sport, education, mental health and community advancement.
Earlier this year, Moomoo Malaysia committed RM100,000 to NDO’s work with underserved students in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
“We share a simple belief with NDO: young people need knowledge, confidence and opportunities to build a better future,” said Dennis Jee, CEO of Moomoo Malaysia. "She stands for strong values we believe in: care, preparation, staying strong through challenges, and always improving. Despite all her success, she continues to give back and help the next generation.”
David said the money goes “into classrooms, not campaigns”, adding that “you don’t become a champion in one day. You learn the fundamentals, you make mistakes, you keep practising.”
Fans in the North can expect to see more of her later this month, when Moomoo Malaysia opens its fourth physical store in Penang. The brand will mark the occasion with a chance to play pickleball with David, with details to be announced.
Beyond the Main Stage’s market panels, MooFest 2026 will feature a closing KOL panel with Timothy Tiah, Jonathan Quek and Nigel Chong on how they use Moomoo AI in their investing. A Post-Budget & Year-End Playbook session will also break down what Budget 2027 means for investors.
Brand ambassadorships remain a go-to move for marketers who want to put a familiar face and a clear set of values behind a brand, and athletes are a natural fit in categories like finance, where trust and consistency count. In July, CHARLES & KEITH appointed Singapore’s first female Formula 4 racer, Kareen Kaur, to complement its celebrity ambassadors, saying rising talent lets it champion stories at pivotal moments in their careers.
