In the spirit of new year celebrations, the Jollibee Group has unveiled the first Tiong Bahru Bakery branch in the Philippines, and the Singapore bakery's first international branch.

The new bakery is located at the Verve Residences Tower 2 in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig, and is open from 7am to 10pm daily.

Tiong Bahru Bakery is known for its croissants and numerous varieties of handcrafted pastries using French ingredients. The bakery also serves coffee using sustainably sourced beans produced by Common Man Coffee Roasters. It currently has 21 branches in Singapore.

“For years, the Tiong Bahru Bakery has been synonymous with serving the epitome of croissants and an array of delectably unique creations. Now, with its arrival in the Philippines, we want the location to be the people’s go-to spot where they can indulge in freshly baked products while soaking in the store’s inviting ambiance,” said Joseph Tanbuntiong, CEO of Jollibee Group Philippines.

In tandem, Ernesto Tanmantiong, global president and CEO of the Jollibee Group said, "Introducing Tiong Bahru Bakery to the Philippine market aligns with our commitment to providing Filipinos with exciting, world-class dining experiences".

He added, "We deeply appreciate the support of our exceptional partners—Titan Dining, Ayala Malls, and Bonifacio Global City—who have been instrumental in bringing this vision to life. We look forward to seeing this collaboration thrive, blending local and global culinary traditions, as we continue spreading the joy of eating".

The unveiling of the new branch comes off the heels of Jollibee Group's recent acquisition of Hong Kong’s Michelin-starred dim sum restaurant Tim Ho Wan. In November last year, the company revealed it would be acquiring the remaining 8% stake in Tim Ho Wan for US$15.3m.

According to its official statement on the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission, Jollibee Group had signed an agreement with a subsidiary of Titan Dining LP (Titan Fund) for the transfer of ownership and management of the Tim Ho Wan business from Titan Fund to Jollibee Group’s wholly owned subsidiary, Jollibee Worldwide.

Founded in 2009 by chef Mak Kwai Pui and Leung Fai Keung, Tim Ho Wan earned its own Michelin star in 2010 and was known as one of the most affordable Michelin-starred restaurants in the world. Its Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star from 2010 to 2021.
