JENNIE pirouettes into her first adidas Originals collection

JENNIE is taking her relationship with adidas Originals a step further, moving from the face of the brand to co-designer with the launch of her first collaborative collection.
Dubbed "adidas Originals by JENNIE", the FW26 collection marks the BLACKPINK member's first design collaboration with the sportswear brand after several years as an ambassador and campaign star.
The collaboration is built around the concept of "Functional grace", bringing together adidas' performance heritage and JENNIE's take on modern femininity, with ballet serving as the starting point for the collection and its accompanying campaign.

Rather than keeping ballet within the confines of the studio, the campaign takes the art form somewhere decidedly less conventional: outer space.
Titled "Cosmic ballerina: Kinematics", the campaign places JENNIE in a dreamlike cosmic environment, using gravity-defying movement and the human form to explore ideas of strength, freedom and possibility.
The visual world also plays on the contrast at the heart of the collection, pairing the controlled movements and graceful silhouettes associated with ballet with a more surreal and futuristic aesthetic.
The collection itself similarly draws on ballet codes while reworking familiar adidas Originals silhouettes. Its centrepiece is the 'Superstar SQ ballet', which transforms the brand's Superstar sneaker through the shape of a ballet pointe shoe, complete with a squared toe and ribbon detailing.
The wider apparel offering includes reworked track tops and pants alongside wrap skirts, cardigans, bodysuits, leggings and hoodies, complemented by accessories such as leg warmers and cut-out socks.
According to adidas, the collaboration reflects a deeper creative role for JENNIE, giving the artist greater authorship over the collection and translating her aesthetic perspective across its footwear, apparel and campaign world.
“With this collaboration, I wanted to reinterpret the classic identity of adidas Originals through my own perspective and energy. My goal was to bring together the softness and restraint found in ballet, as well as the strength behind it, with the feeling of an endless and unknown space," said JENNIE.
She added, “I focused on creating an overall mood that feels timeless yet forward-facing—cinematic and surreal, with a quiet but powerful presence.”

The collaboration builds on JENNIE's appearance in adidas Originals' Spring 2026 Superstar campaign earlier this year, which brought together cultural figures across music, fashion and sport to spotlight the sneaker's cross-generational influence.
The cinematic campaign saw Samuel L. Jackson navigate the surreal "Hotel Superstar" in search of a new generation of cultural icons, including JENNIE, Kendall Jenner, Lamine Yamal, Baby Keem, James Harden, Tyshawn Jones and Olivia Dean. Directed by Thibaut Grevet, the campaign positioned the Superstar as a symbol of self-expression, style and authenticity across generations.
