Hello delivers Naked Gun portaloo prank for Paramount

Paramount Pictures and integrated agency Hello have brought the absurdist humour of The Naked Gun to life with an experiential stunt in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter.
The activation disguised a portable toilet as part of a set-up for an unexpected prank. Once inside, participants emerged not into the street but into a staged police interrogation scene, echoing the film’s chaotic comedy style. Hidden cameras captured reactions, with all content later cleared and distributed in short-form video formats.
Influencers Josh Mansour and Jad Nehmetalla were among those caught in the prank. The footage has since travelled globally across social channels, with traction in the UK and US, highlighting the brand’s ability to carry the franchise’s humour across generations and markets.
“Dropping Aussies into an interrogation straight from a dodgy portaloo was the kind of unexpected, ridiculous moment that gets people laughing and sharing,” Hello managing director Sam Kelly, said.
The campaign leveraged Hello’s end-to-end capabilities, including creative, event production, social storytelling, and influencer management.
The Naked Gun, starring Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson, is in cinemas now.
