The long-awaited official shortlist for MARKETING-INTERACTIVE’s Hashtag Asia Awards 2024 has been published on the awards’ programme website for public viewing. In its 3rd edition, the awards highlights strong representation from several brands, agencies, and social content creators all across Asia.

The 2024 edition featured a total of 37 enterable categories, with the return of beloved classics and the introduction of 15 exciting new additions. New categories include "Best Campaign by a Mega Influencer" and "Best Social Media Engagement Strategy," catering to the evolving landscape of digital marketing. Additionally, top performers within the brands, influencers, and platforms themes have the opportunity to vie for the prestigious Overall Agency HashMaster and Overall Brand HashMaster titles, showcasing excellence across the board.

The Hashtag Asia Awards 2024 was judged by 34 industry professionals from across the region.

Piyush Nagar, head of customer marketing and commercial strategy, SEA&P from Bayer, said that there was a refreshing range of objectives and "groundbreaking" campaign ideas to achieve said objectives.

He pointed out that some notable entrants had also proved that innovative and purposeful ideas can be scaled through social media platforms within a limited budget.

“It was like exploring a busy market where each entry was a unique stall full of ideas and watching a chef cooking up a storm, blending ingredients to make something special,” added Mayank Singh, chief digital officer and vice president - marketing, digital business and technology of Domino’s Pizza Indonesia. He commended the entrants for their knowledge and expertise and emphasised that picking the best was tough. "It was like spotting the brightest star in the sky. These awards don't just celebrate what's happening now; they show us where we're headed.”

Wendy Wang, head of influencer marketing APAC from Media Monks, added that she was inspired by the "amazing" works of the many nominees for the Hashtag Asia Awards 2024. "It's moments like this that I'm reminded of why I love what I do,” she added. 

"It was truly an honour to witness the talent and creativity of the best in the industry,” said Titus Low, influencer and DJ, known as @titusslow on social media. "There is so much we can glean from each other, from budget allocation for targeted audience capture, engaging KOLs, to implementing diverse strategies," he added. 

The winners of the 3rd Annual Hashtag Asia Awards will be announced at a live gala dinner and celebration in Singapore on the 3rd of May at the InterContinental Hotel.
