Halodoc launches Halofit, a digital clinic for personalised weight management

Halodoc, Indonesia-based digital health platform, has unveiled Halofit, a new digital clinic designed to provide personalised, medically supervised weight management programmes. The launch marks the company’s latest step in expanding its ecosystem beyond general healthcare, with a sharper focus on specific health issues such as obesity, which continues to rise across the nation.
The introduction of Halofit follows the success of Halodoc’s previous specialised services - Haloskin for skin health and HaloIntima for sexual wellness. The new service aims to offer a multidisciplinary approach combining science, technology, and lifestyle change under medical supervision.
“For Halodoc, addressing obesity is not merely about reducing numbers on a scale, but about helping people build awareness and sustainable healthy habits.” said Ignasius Hasim, VP of consultation and diagnostics at Halodoc, during the launch event at GIOI Menteng, Jakarta.

According to Halodoc’s 2024 data, around three-quarters of its nutritionist patients had already sought support for weight management before Halofit’s launch, though most consultations remained focused on diet regulation and lifestyle education.
“Through Halofit, we aim to introduce a more holistic approach by combining education, medical and nutritionist guidance, technology, and evidence-based medical therapy. Halofit represents our concrete step in supporting the government’s efforts to build a healthier and more productive society through comprehensive and sustainable obesity management,” Hasim added.
The urgency behind Halofit’s launch is underscored by recent data from the Indonesia Health Survey (SKI), which recorded a national obesity increase from 21.8% in 2018 to 23.4% in 2023. By 2025, over 68 million adults in Indonesia are projected to live with obesity.
Additional data from the ministry of health’s free health check programme in June 2025 revealed that over half of women and a quarter of men in Indonesia experience central obesity - a condition linked to heightened risks of diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases.
Despite the alarming statistics, awareness and proactive management remain low. According to the ACTION study by Novo Nordisk, only around 30% of individuals with obesity in the Asia-Pacific region have discussed their weight with healthcare professionals in the past five years.
Positioned as an end-to-end digital obesity clinic, Halofit integrates doctor consultations, nutrition planning, medical therapy, and behavioural support. All programmes are monitored by the Halofit Board of Wellness, which includes endocrinologists and clinical nutrition specialists.
Since its soft launch in March 2025, consultations related to weight management on the Halodoc app have grown fourfold by September.
Through the Halofit programme, users receive a 30-day personalised plan, including doctor consultations, tailored meal plans by nutritionists, medication and supplements as needed, continuous support from doctors and nutritionists, and GLP-1 therapy injections for safe appetite and weight control under supervision.
“GLP-1 medical therapy is one of the innovations that helps patients manage their weight more safely when used under medical supervision. At Halofit, every patient receives comprehensive guidance, from body assessments to healthy lifestyle education,” said Waluyo Dwi Cahyono, member of the Halofit Board of Wellness.
To enhance the programme’s medical reliability, Halodoc has partnered with Novo Nordisk Indonesia, a subsidiary of the Danish global healthcare company with over a century of innovation and two decades of presence in Indonesia.
Riyanny Meisha Tarliman, clinical, medical, and regulatory director at Novo Nordisk Indonesia, said: “This collaboration combines Halodoc’s digital healthcare ecosystem and technology - already reaching communities across Indonesia - with Novo Nordisk’s expertise in managing serious chronic diseases, to expand education and access to quality clinical support.”
Users can begin their Halofit journey through the Halodoc app by completing a pre-assessment to evaluate body condition and weight goals, followed by consultations with doctors to receive tailored guidance. The service includes medication and supplement packages that can be delivered directly to users’ homes, along with 30 days of nutrition coaching and medical monitoring.
To encourage adoption, Halodoc is offering launch promotions such as IDR 10,000 (US$0.6) doctor consultations, free 30-day coaching, and free delivery for Halofit packages.
