GoTyme Bank has entered the cryptocurrency arena with the nationwide rollout of Go Crypto, a new in-app feature designed to give Filipinos an accessible and regulated pathway into digital asset investing. Targeted at both crypto-curious consumers and existing digital investors, the launch marks the bank’s latest step in broadening its financial services ecosystem.

Available directly through the GoTyme Bank app, Go Crypto allows users to buy, sell, and manage 11 cryptocurrencies without registering on third-party platforms. The list includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Ripple, Polkadot, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Avalanche, Uniswap, Chainlink and Aave. All transactions run within a closed-loop system, a design meant to minimise exposure to external risks while simplifying the user experience.

“Go Crypto is about expanding the investing horizon for Filipinos in a way that’s secure, simple, and built on trust,” said Nathaniel Clarke, president and CEO of GoTyme Bank. “For too long, crypto investing has felt complicated or out of reach. We’re changing that by giving Filipinos a platform that’s simple, intuitive, and built on the same rock-solid infrastructure that powers our everyday banking. This launch is another meaningful step forward on our journey to unlock the full financial potential of our customers.”

GoTyme Bank’s status as a licensed virtual asset service provider under the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas places the offering under formal regulatory oversight, an important differentiator in a crowded but often unregulated crypto market. Each listed asset undergoes what the bank describes as “bank-grade due diligence” prior to being introduced to the platform.

For marketers observing the fast-shifting financial landscape, Go Crypto signals how mainstream consumer brands - particularly digital banks - are increasingly positioning crypto not as a speculative niche, but as part of a broader portfolio of financial services. Trust, transparency and simplicity are the pillars in this approach, and they are core to GoTyme Bank’s messaging.

Go Crypto also introduces several features aimed at guiding user behaviour and reinforcing safe investing practices, including risk profiling at sign-up, a dedicated crypto account for clearer portfolio management, real-time market news and insights, instant conversions between fiat and crypto, and transparent pricing with no hidden fees.

The launch forms part of GoTyme Bank’s wider strategy to democratise investment access for Filipinos, aligning crypto with its existing push to deliver secure, intuitive and aesthetically streamlined digital banking.

As a reminder to consumers, the bank emphasises that cryptocurrencies remain volatile and speculative, and are not insured by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation or any government body. Users are advised to understand the risks - including market swings, regulatory changes and evolving technology - before investing.

Backed by the Gokongwei Group and the international digital banking firm Tyme, GoTyme Bank continues to expand its footprint in the Philippines. With Go Crypto now part of its offering, the bank is positioning itself as one of the leading players bringing regulated digital asset access to everyday Filipinos.
