Indonesian digital infrastructure solutions GoTo Group and tech company Tencent have partnered up. The collaboration will see Tencent Cloud providing a comprehensive suite of cloud infrastructure solutions and digital services to GoTo's business.
As part of the five-year partnership, GoTo will leverage Tencent Cloud's technology and platform as a service (PaaS) service.

At the same time, GoTo's engineering team will collaborate with Tencent Cloud's in-house service and architecture experts. This is to further develop its technology, allowing the company to improve its enterprise offerings as well as boost its consumer-centric products and strengthen user experience.
GoTo's range of services will also be further bolstered by Tencent Cloud's local presence.
“We are excited to partner with GoTo to drive Indonesia’s digital transformation. With over 20 years of experience in technological innovation and building large-scale digital ecosystems, Tencent Cloud’s high-performance, easy-to-maintain, and flexible cloud services will benefit GoTo’s key service offerings. We remain committed to GoTo and Indonesia and we look forward to exploring further collaborations in the future," said Poshu Yeung, senior vice president, Tencent Cloud International.
“The partnership between GoTo and Tencent Cloud will support our company, as well as the countless consumers, driver-partners and MSMEs that depend on our ecosystem. Our goal is to offer our users a seamless and integrated experience across our platforms, and Tencent Cloud offers us a firm technical foundation for achieving this. Our two companies have a long history together and I am confident that our relationship will continue to flourish," said Patrick Walujo, GoTo Group CEO.
This isn't the only partnership under GoTo's belt. Last week, GoTo collaborated with Microsoft Indonesia in a move to adopt AI developer tool GitHub Copilot.
GitHub Copilot is a tool which boosts engineers' productivity and satisfaction in daily coding tasks with its AI capabilities. This includes real-time code suggestions, chat assistance in the integrated development environment and breaking down complex coding concepts using daily conversational language.
According to a statement seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, GoTo’s move in integrating AI into the company’s workflow underscores its commitment to driving innovation while empowering its workforce to deliver impactful technology at scale.
“Since June 2024, almost a thousand GoTo engineers have adopted GitHub Copilot, with full rollout expected by mid-October 2024. The adoption of this AI-powered coding assistant has enabled our engineers to enhance code quality and to accomplish more in less time. GoTo engineers have reported significant time savings averaging over seven hours per week, allowing them to innovate with greater speed and to bring more value to our users," said Hans Patuwo, chief operating officer, GoTo.
