1. Snoop Dogg and Deel want to pay you US$10,000 to eat ice cream


Deel is giving ice cream lovers around the world a shot at turning their sweet tooth into a job, teaming up with Snoop Dogg's Dr. Bombay to find the brand's first international ice cream taste tester.

The three-month role is fully remote and open to applicants globally, with the successful candidate set to earn US$10,000 a month to taste Dr. Bombay's ice cream and feed insights on flavours, trends and new ideas back to the team.

2. Singlife group brand, communications and marketing head Debra Soon exits


Singlife's group head of brand, communications and marketing Debra Soon has exited the insurer after five years, closing what she described as "one of the most memorable chapters" of her career.

In a farewell LinkedIn post published on the eve of 1 September, she reflected on the significance of the date throughout her professional life, noting that it marked both her first day at Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) in 1992 and her first day at Singlife in 2021.

3. Standard Chartered calls for global integrated agency pitch


Standard Chartered is conducting a global integrated agency pitch, with the request for information issued in July. This publication understands the duties include creative and media, with the pitch likely to close towards the end of the year. 

The pitch comes as the bank's global agency roster includes dentsu holding its global media remit, while Publicis, led by Leo, was appointed to its global creative account in 2022, marking the end of Standard Chartered's 18-year relationship with TBWA.
