Garuda Indonesia is taking its cross-industry “Sky explorer” collaboration to new heights with the participation of Mitsubishi Motors and Orang Tua (OT) Group’s leading FMCG brands - Crystalin and Tango - alongside local creative IP Tahilalats. Together, the brands are redefining how experience and storytelling can shape modern marketing.

At the heart of this collaboration is the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) 2025, held from 16-19 October 2025 at Hall 8, Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), Pantai Indah Kapuk 2, where Mitsubishi Motors showcased its Mitsubishi Destinator as the grand prize of the exhibition. Meanwhile, OT Group launched its “Sky explorer: Exploration of happiness” campaign, reinforcing the narrative of discovery, connection, and creative energy.

As part of the extended partnership between Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) and Garuda Indonesia, four units of the Mitsubishi Destinator were presented for promotional programmes, including one as the grand prize for GATF’s top spender.

“In line with Mitsubishi Motors’ 55th anniversary in Indonesia, this collaboration symbolises our journey of continuous growth and movement alongside society. Through Mitsubishi Destinator’s participation in GATF 2025, we aim to create an experience that not only strengthens interbrand connections but also inspires people to keep exploring and enjoying every journey with renewed spirit together with Mitsubishi Motors,” said Intan Vidiasari, general manager of marcomm and PR at MMKSI.

The collaboration allows both brands to fuse mobility and travel experiences. Attendees could explore the Destinator’s design and features up-close at Mitsubishi Motors’ booth, which also hosted interactive activities and exclusive merchandise giveaways.

“Continuing the cross-industry collaboration between Garuda Indonesia, Mitsubishi Motors, and Tahilalats, this time we want to extend special appreciation to our loyal customers through the Booking battle to destinator - GATF top spender 2025 programme. By seizing the momentum of GATF 2025, we aim to deliver a holistic travel experience driven by the same spirit - creating journeys that are meaningful and inspiring,” said Cahyadi Indrananto, corporate secretary group head, Garuda Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Garuda’s collaboration with OT Group came to life through special-edition packaging for Crystalin (330 mL, 600 mL, and 1500 mL) and Tango Brownies Crispy (35g pouch), designed with Tahilalats’ signature offbeat style. The packaging carries messages of exploration, joy, and positive energy - values that align with the lifestyle of younger consumers.

“We chose Garuda Indonesia as a symbol of journey and aspiration, and Tahilalats as an icon of youth creativity. This special edition packaging is a bridge connecting the happiness of enjoying our products with the spirit of exploration and joy in every journey. We believe this cross-sector synergy will provide a unique experience and positive energy for consumers across Indonesia,” said Donny, CEO of OT FMCG.

The campaign officially launched on 12 October 2025 at Lippo Mall Nusantara, attended by Donny, Garuda Indonesia CEO Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan, Tahilalats creator Nurfadli Mursiding, and creative economy vice minister Irene Umar. The interactive booth drew strong visitor engagement across the three-day activation.

“The presence of the Sky explorer IP on OT Group’s products is a form of Garuda Indonesia’s support for the development of the nation’s creative economy. This is also an effort for Garuda Indonesia to present a variety of quality national products in an effort to continue creating a safe, comfortable, and memorable flight experience for our service users,” said Panjaitan.

From 10-12 October 2025, visitors engaged with the “Exploration of happiness” booth at Lippo Mall Nusantara through interactive activities with Tahilalats, Crystalin, Tango Brownies Crispy, and Garuda Indonesia. The special-edition products are available at Garuda Experience Stores, nationwide retailers, and on Garuda Indonesia flights.

From the creative perspective, Umar hopes the collaboration will inspire other local creators to embrace cross-industry storytelling. “By bringing local products like Crystalin and Tango Brownies Crispy into the flight experience, we want to show that the work of the nation’s youth deserves to be the main spotlight. We also welcome this cross-sector collaboration as a form of continued support for local brands and national pride, as well as celebrating National Creative Economy Day on October 24,” she said.
