Puneet Pal Singh (pictured), director of communications for Cisco, APAC, Japan and China, has stepped down after seven years with the company.
In a LinkedIn post, Singh reflected on what his time at Cisco meant, expressing immense gratitude for the people he had the opportunity to work with, including his team, mentors and other leaders in the industry.
"I leave this role proud of what we’ve built, especially the team, my proudest achievement here," said Singh.

Singh also hinted at an "exciting" opportunity that prompted him to leave his role at Cisco. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out for a statement.
Singh first joined Cisco in 2018 as its head of communications for Southeast Asia before rising through the ranks as the head of communications, APAC, Japan and China after just over two years. He was elevated to his most recent role in 2021.
Singh's key responsibilities as director of communications included ensuring its communications outreach was aligned to Cisco's purpose and business objectives and conceptualising and delivering thought leadership campaigns to drive perception change across audiences.
Prior to his time at Cisco, Singh had a two-year long stint at British public relations firm Bell Pottinger. He first joined the agency as an associate partner, before being elevated to partner in 2016.
Singh led the firm's professional services practice in Singapore, where he advised clients on their overall strategic corporate communications, crisis management, content creation, thought leadership and public and media relations campaigns. He also led the crisis and media training offering in Singapore and advised clients on their crises preparedness, response and recovery.
Singh also held positions at BBC News as a business reporter, and ESPN STAR sports as an assistant producer and presenter.
Singh isn't the only communications professional to be moving around in recent times. Just this week, Lee Eng Keat, head of strategy and communications at Singapore Post (SingPost), stepped down from his role. In a LinkedIn post on Tuesday (1 April), Lee wrote that he has concluded his chapter with the postal service provider and is moving on to explore new opportunities.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Japanese footwear brand ASICS appointed Caroline Fisher as its global brand communications director. In her role, Fisher will focus on putting ASICS' founding philosophy at the heart of the brand's communications.
