Alliance Bank Malaysia is releasing a feature-length film in its first-of-its-kind effort. The film captures the stories and progress of the Alliance Bank BizSmart Challenge Accelerator Edition and will premiere on 27 November at Aurum Theatre at The Exchange TRX, KL, as a private screening movie activation.
At the private screening, invited guests will find out the journey and outcomes of the next winners of the BizSmart Challenge Accelerator Edition.
The challenge sees 13 finalists who have been selected after a rigorous process involving 593 applicants, four days of accelerator programme and business coaching, two days of business pitching and one day of elevator pitch.

The challenge, which hits its decade landmark this year, has evolved from a platform for entrepreneurial growth to an accelerator for industry-defining talent. It comes as Alliance Bank aims to encourage the sector and to foster the progress and development of growing SMES, identify rising stars and give back to Malaysia's emerging entrepreneurs.
Previous winners include household names such as Christy Ng, myBurger Lab, Tapping Tapir, BloomThis, Signature Market, Amazin' Graze, Chriszen, Salad Atelier and Vanzo.
This year, the 13 finalists include dairy products wholesale supplier Asia Farms Network, automation, barcode and RFID specialist Aenon Solutions, biotech firm BioLoop, ad-tech mobility startup Carching, e-commerce fulfillment and distribution center Flybear, F&B product development Fubizo, bakery chain Gula Cakery, AI application developer Mindhive, coffee manufacturer Sin Boon Kee, skin and wellness supplement manufacturer Ventamin, soya sauce supplier Xin Seng Fatt, children-friendly food manufacturer Zoey Food Supply and automotive service provider Volt Motorsports.
Winners can stand a chance to win a share of the RM 500,000 cash prizes, business loans at preferential rates, branding exposure and potentially venture capital funding to empower them to further scale their business. The total prize value exceeds RM2 million.
"We're thrilled to present this year's finalists, whose entrepreneurial spirit and innovation are truly inspiring. They have reached our grand finale after months of honing their pitches, strengthening their business stories and financials, and receiving mentoring from world-class leading venture capitalists such as Bikesh Lakhmichand of 1337 Ventures and 5X Capital's Natalie Tan," said Kellee Kam, group CEO, Alliance Bank.
"Alliance Bank's BizSmart Challenge is committed to supporting sustainable business practices and empowering the next wave of industry leaders," added Kam.
In previous editions of the BizSmart Challenge, the bank leveraged Instagram stories where participants could bring their pitch to life in video format. According to the bank in 2019, leveraging Instagram's Stories feature is a creative and innovative way for finalists to improve their chances of being selected in the Top 20 as part of their submission.
