Sime Darby Property has reappointed WPP Media as its integrated media agency of record in Malaysia following a competitive pitch, tasking the agency with leading a multi-year media transformation.

The renewed mandate covers integrated media assignments across all channels, supporting township launches, brand building, and demand generation.

Central to the partnership is a transformation agenda leveraging technology and data to deliver more effective outcomes, linking media investment more efficiently to qualified leads, sell-through, and transparent reporting.

The renewed scope, effective 16 September 2025, spans all customer touchpoints and is underpinned by a privacy-safe data and AI stack.

“We are incredibly proud and honoured to have successfully retained the integrated media AOR for Sime Darby Property Berhad following a highly competitive pitch process,” said Arshan Saha, CEO, WPP Media Malaysia.

“We understand Sime Darby Property’s townships and how buyers discover, compare, and decide from search to purchase. Our focus now is on media transformation, simplifying the stack, unifying first-party data, building privacy-safe audiences, modernising measurement, and automating activation, so that spending is tied to qualified leads and sell-through. We will use technology to drive effectiveness and efficiency, with full transparency," added Saha.

In tandem, Lai Shu Wei, chief marketing and sales officer, Sime Darby Property Berhad, said: “The decision was rigorous and in-depth as there were many considerations."

"The decision to select WPP Media was because of their deep understanding of our business, the communities and customers we operate in, and the ability to craft a practical plan to modernise how we use media — from focus in data with clear measurements to activation. This appointment helps us scale data-led marketing, improve efficiency across channels, and create a seamless experience for homebuyers," Lai added.

The reappointment comes as Sime Darby Property unveils a refreshed brand identity, marking a key milestone in its evolution from a pure-play property developer to a broader real estate company. The updated identity retains the group’s strongest brand assets — its name, shield, and heritage red — while presenting a modernised look designed to resonate with today’s audiences.

The refresh also aligns with Sime Darby Property’s SHIFT25 strategy, showcasing its focus on recurring income streams, urban solutions, sustainability, and innovation. A brand film accompanying the launch highlights families enjoying the group’s townships, futuristic innovation hubs, and its commitment to creating lasting value for people, businesses, economies, and the planet.
